Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Aleppo barbecue seasoning

The only thing better than pan-fried Brussels sprouts is this recipe for pan-fried Brussels sprouts with a barbecuechip flavoured seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 1 teaspoon Aleppo chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or substitute with grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a small mixing bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and set aside.

Slice the trimmed Brussels sprouts as thinly as possible for a crispier finish. Heat the oil in a frying pan over mediumhigh heat. Add the Brussels sprouts to the pan, season with salt and cook, flipping the sprouts once or twice, until they are golden and crispy.

Remove the pan from the heat and place the cooked sprouts in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add the dry ingredients and toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated. Serve immediately.
